"Walk in the Light"

Happy Monday! :) Hope you've all had a spectacular week. It's been a good one here in London!

Before I start, can I just say how much I love being a missionary? And also how blessed I feel to be serving here in this beautiful city? I stand in awe every single day of how incredible this place is, how diverse the people are, and how true this gospel is! Put all of that together and I'm just humbled. God must love us a lot to give us opportunities, places, and people like this all around the world! Sheesh! I'm just so grateful for what I get to experience here in England.

Ok, sorry... I ramble too much. It's a problem.. haha

To get back on track I'll tell you about a tour Sister Yau and I gave on Tuesday. It was in the morning, and we were the only ones on the floor of the visitors center. We were already giving a tour to a Chinese family (I'm tellin ya, Heavenly Father knows that Sister Yau is here), but from the back of the visitors center we saw another women walk in. I went to greet her and as I gave her a tour she told me a bit about her back story. She was also Christian, and was a "missionary" in her own kind of way. We had such a good conversation in the chapel, and then I took her to watch Because of Him in the cinema. For those of you who haven't ever seen this video it ends with just two simple words "Find Him." There are a lot of ways we can "find Christ" in our lives- prayer, service, sacrifice, loving others, acting in faith, and a bajillion others I could name... but as I explained how I had really gained a relationship with Christ as I read the Book of Mormon she was intrigued. We talked for a good 30 minutes about the restoration of the gospel, and about what the Book of Mormon was. By the end she just looked at me with a smile on her face and said "I'd love to read that book. I can see the spirit of Christ in your eyes, and you make me believe this, because you believe it." It was such a tender moment, where I realized once again just how important these things are to me! :)  I DO believe them!

Also on Tuesday we had an exchange with the STL's. I was with Sister Fitts from Las Vegas! She's great, and I learned a lot! You always do when you go on exchanges. We talked with everyone, and for some reason we talked the strangest people.. but hey, they are still children of God!

A bummer of the week is that I got a fever... :( Sickness is the worst as a missionary, because you feel like you should be doing something, but sometimes you just can't. It's something going around, because I swear everyone in our Zone has been sick recently!

Flat mates! :) Sister Yau, me, Sister Fuhriman, and Sister Apiyo.

Sister Yau found the Chinese section at the grocery store and and so we've been eating all sorts of things that she loves from home. This was SOO spicy!!

Some professional graffiti near to where we live.

We've gotten really good at the photo timer.. ;)

We went finding in Hammersmith and found a 24 hour mega screen showing the Olympics! Go America, and Great Britian!!! Woop wooop!

To end on the spiritual side of things, here's a scripture that's been on my mind this week:

"Behold all ye that kindle fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks, walk in the light of your fire and in the sparks which ye have kindled..." As we walk in the light, and not any light, but the light of Christ, we can help others find the light. You never know where those sparks are going to go, but as we live the gospel some of those sparks might kindle and become a mighty flame! So, make sure you are walking in the light this week. Don't forget that you are an "example of the believers." :)

Love you all! Have a great, great week!

Love, Sister Croft
