Exciting news! Two new visitors centre missionaries showed up this week as well. :) This means that I'm no longer the "greenie". Sister Kerr from Arizona, and Sister Dabrowska from Poland have joined our family here at the Hyde Park Visitors Center.

This week was also very exciting because it was my first week with Sister Apyio as my companion! Sister Apyio is hilarious, very in tune with the Spirit, a bold missionary, and a great cook! Because we were recently dropped by quite a few investigators we spent a lot of time finding new investigators this week. As Elder Holland said "All you need to do is to open your mouth and the Spirit will work through you." So, we opened our mouths as much as we could. Whether it be on the bus, the tube, the grocery store, the visitors centre, or the street, we tried to always be talking to people.
Miracle(s) of the week:
Remember how a little while ago I said that Sister Hug and I found 2 Thai families who were super excited to learn English and the gospel? Well they are incredible! :) We have been meeting with the mothers for the past few weeks now, and they've really been learning a lot- both English and the gospel. On Friday we were teaching M. and we showed her a video of Jesus Christ being baptized. She just had this grin on her face and you could tell she was really feeling the Spirit. Afterwards, we invited her to be baptized and she said YES!! :) She was a bit scared at first that she would get water up her nose, but once we cleared that up she was really excited! She'll be getting baptized on the 16th of August. Awe I love M., she's amazing!
Saturday evening in the visitors center I had the opportunity to give a tour to a Chinese man named J. As I was getting to know him a bit I just felt really impressed that he needed to see the baptismal font. I fought the prompting at first, but finally led him to the baptistry and shared with him what baptism is and also my testimony about why it is so important. Later Sister Apyio joined the tour and we ended up teaching him the whole restoration, the doctrine of Christ, and then showing him a film about families being together forever. After the film ended he was crying. He told us that this is what he wanted for his family in China, and that he wanted to be baptized! :) He'll be leaving for China in one week, but wants to bring his whole family back to London so that they can come to church and be baptized! Amazing, amazing day! :) It was one of the strongest Spirit led tours I've ever given, and I'm so thankful that I was able to follow the Spirit!
I love you all, family and friends! This gospel is real, it is true, and it brings happiness to peoples lives, it really does! Have an amazing week everyone.
Love, Sister Rebekah Croft
